Optimize Coaching, One Year Later

OPTIMIZE COACH

Master yourself. Serve heroically. Empower others to do the same.

Let’s change the world. One person at a time. Together.

~Brian Johnson, Optimize

Last January, I began the Optimize Coach program.

A 300-day course designed to help participants

master themselves, serve heroically, and empower others.

My original intent with this program

was to become better equipped to coach and help others.

What I found was that I first needed to care for myself.

In this program, I learned a great deal about "Client Zero."

Client Zero is the Optimize Coach's primary client.

One's self.

If we are to serve and empower others,

we have to learn to consistently care for ourselves.

This is one of the greatest lessons I learned.

I instinctively know this.

I don't adequately practice it.

But I know that modeling is always the best teacher.

When I received my Optimize Coach diploma,

I must have read it a dozen times.

It states the following:

"Having demonstrated a commitment to areté through the mastery of ancient wisdom, modern science, and the fundamentals of Optimal living—both in their own life and in service to others—let it be known that Thom Miller is hereby recognized as a Certified Optimize Coach and granted all privileges thereunto appertaining, for as long as they continue to demonstrate their commitment through practice. In witness whereof, we hereby commit to do our best to operationalize virtue and live with areté, honoring the fundamentals and striving to be our Optimize = Optimus = Best = Eudaimōn = Hērō selves in Energy, Work, and Love."

That's a powerful statement.

A statement I intend to live up to.

Day after day, moment to moment.

So here I am, one year later.

Changing the world, one person at a time.

As always, beginning with my first client, Client Zero.

So may you and I live our optimal best selves,

in service to the world.

Each of us beginning with our own selves.

Let's change the world.

Together.

Starting today.
