Still-ness
I began yesterday's journal with a "Note to Self."
No rush. No worries. Just do the work.
Take time to pause, breathe, and smile.
It's the weekend.
Time to do things I cannot do during the week.
But in this time of Do-ing, I cannot forget my Be-ing.
Being still,
being silent, and
being present.
This morning, I began my journal as I did yesterday.
I wrote, "Still, no need to rush. Still, no need to worry.
Still, just do the work. And still...pause, breathe, and smile.
Then I wrote the word, "STILL-ness."
As in peace, calm, tranquility, and acceptance.
But also as being disciplined and staying the course.
That "-ness" reminded me of my "/ Full."
The first blog I posted over five years ago.
I went back and read through it.
I had a couple of thoughts.
One was, "Wow! I haven't changed much."
The other was, "Wow! I've stayed the course."
I look at the similarities between that piece and this one.
Yes, I haven't changed, and I am grateful.
Yes, I haven't changed, and I am seeking stillness.
Doing what I wish to do.
Being who I wish to be.
Still. With great fullness.
A moment of being-ness after the doing-ness.
Still. Grateful.
