I was listening to Rob Bell

talking to his son, Trace

on Robcast (#304).

There is something about the artistry of Rob's creative play.

In his conversations and in his writing projects.

He has embraced creative living for decades.

And now, here he is with Trace.

This young man who clearly shows the influence of his dad.

The questions and thoughts and desire to dive deep.

For the past few weeks, I've been thinking about the Trinity.

And how that triad relates to our own personal triad.

Father, Son, Spirit...mind, body, soul.

I've thought of it as part of this divine DNA we share.

As children of God and our reflection as those children.

And how we communicate and connect with each other.

And then I thought of Trace.

This young man on his own search for understanding.

And this podcast I heard half a year ago.

I love to hear this young man

working through the words and thoughts.

His own unique triad but a clear reflection of his dad.

And we each have this creativity of us in our minds,

this incarnation of us in our bodies, and

this connectivity of us in our souls.

Awareness of awareness.

The us behind the us.
